Description

 WORKSHOP Riga, 2-3 June, 2016

Why

Access to new markets, new knowledge, inspiration and joining longer-term partnerships on markets, research and innovation, are just some of the benefits of internationalisation. However some companies - particularly SMEs - experience challenges and need support. Cluster organisations can play a key role in supporting companies in their internationalisation yet this requires that clusters have the competences for internationalisation and a strategy supporting these efforts.

Outcome

The workshop will offer you:

• Interaction with experienced cluster managers on why internationalisation of clusters is important, how they have worked with development and implementation of an international strategy, and what results this has had for their companies

• Insights into a new tool to help clusters develop their international work

• Several smaller workshops to foster learning on the different steps in your cluster internationalisation efforts

• Introduction to Enterprise Europe Network’s services to support cluster internationalisation

Who

Cluster managers who are “just starting out” – seeking tools, lessons and practical guidance to support the development of an internationalisation strategy and cluster managers who have some years of experience with internationalisation – seeking inspiration and tips from peers to further develop their activities and refine their strategy.

Your input

The workshop will be run in an open and informal setting, allowing for sharing of experiences and learning among peers. If you have ideas for the workshop please send them to us (see contact information below).
