Towards European Strategic Cluster Partnerships - 13 pan-European cluster consortia selected
A launch event of the European Strategic Cluster Partnerships was organised by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform on 16 May 2013 in Linz in the framework of the 2013 Cluster Academy programme of Clusterland Upper Austria. Cluster organisations from across Europe (ie. CIP participating countries) were invited to form such partnerships through a call for the expression of interest that was published on the European Cluster Collaboration Platform (ECCP) in March 2013.
Mr. Reinhard Büscher, Head of Unit “Clusters and Support for SMEs”, Directorate General for Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission, has underlined the objective of these Partnerships in opening the event: “These Partnerships are addressed to cluster organisations interested to reinforce cluster collaboration across borders and sectoral boundaries in a more strategic manner at European level and to move from networking to developing and implementing joint strategies towards third countries to be more competitive worldwide.”
