bioXclusters partners co-organise Sino-European Bio Partnering in Shanghai

On May 29th 2013, bioXclusters partners have co-organised, together with G-Med consulting and another European cluster from Wallonia, BioWin, the first edition of the Sino-Europe Bio partnering (SEBP2013) in Shanghai. Workshop 'Gender - an innovation factor for clusters', 27th June in Linz, Austria

The Workshop in Linz will present the state-of-the-art of this topic as it is seen and implemented in the Central Europe cooperation area. From the Baltic-Sea Macro-Region we will have key players presenting us good practices how gender as innovation factor can support the competitiveness of clusters and their cluster members.

 

The workshop will be chaired by Dr. Petra Püchner, Vice Director of the European Center for Women and Technology and Coordinator of CluStrat. The goal of the workshop is to discuss and define potential actions of the CE and the Danube Macro-Region in regard to gender and diversity in innovation systems like clusters.

BSR Innovation Express call attracts 46 proposals for SME internationalisation through clusters


The BSR Innovation Express call opened on 1 February, and closed on 31 May 2013.

In total, 46 applications were submitted from clusters or business networks in the six participating countries:

·         FI:                  3

·         IS:                 2

·         LT:                 4

·         NO:               8

·         SE:                12

 

More than half of the applications targeted partners in other countries participating in the BSR Innovation Express call. Target partners also came from other BSR countries (Estonia, Germany, Latvia, and Poland), as well as Austria, Belgium, France, Netherlands, Russia, and UK (Northern Ireland).

 

Funding partners are now reviewing and evaluating applications, and decisions on approved projects will be communicated at the end of June.

EBTC Water Partnership - EU Expertise, Technology and Solutions for India Water Development Programme

To facilitate the participation of the EU SMEs in the Indian market, EBTC has become the exclusive strategic partner of India Water Development Programme (IWDP) for the European Union (EU).

 

IWDP is a structured programme of ETI Dynamics (UK) that aims at increasing the uptake of environmental technologies across India wherever interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder partnerships for water can be designed into path-breaking projects.

 

The EBTC Water Partnership (EWP) has been constituted to support the deployment of EU technologies and expertise in IWDP’s pioneering projects with a vision of establishing effective EU-India collaborations. In short, EWP is a strategic platform for EU businesses, clusters, organisations, research institutes and platforms (programmes) to collaborate, innovate and establish their presence in the evolving India water and wastewater sectors.
