The event consists of an exhibition of inventions, educational seminars along with the award ceremony for invention competition. The event is to be held on August 26, 2017 at Burgundy & Gold Room of the North York Memorial Community Hall in uptown Toronto, Canada.

The Preliminary Registration Period starts from January 1 ~ June 15 in which applicants can apply their invention entry form(s) by email to become preliminary round contestants and to be potential finalists to be invited to Toronto to exhibit their inventions and products.

Applicants who are unable to participate in person can also select to participate as a “long-distance” participant in which they are eligible for preliminary awards based on their evaluation result of the submitted entry form.

The participation method of iCAN can be selected between: (1) in-person participation and, (2) long-distance participation depending on the applicants’ circumstances and situations.

iCAN is the main event of Canada representing international inventors’ exhibition activities and awarding competition of creative ideas and innovation projects, serving as a brand-new platform of opportunities for the overseas participants to showcase some of the finest inventions, innovative and scientific research outcomes and new products and technologies on the international level in Canada.
