15th TCI Annual Global Conference from 16th to 19th October

On behalf of José Luis Curbelo, Director de Orkestra-Basque Institute of Competitiveness, we are pleased to invite you to attend the 15th TCI Annual Global Conference from 16th to 19th October 2012. The theme of the conference, jointly hosted by the Basque Government and Orkestra is "Constructing Place-based Competitiveness in Times of Global Change".

 

The conference provides a unique opportunity for policy-makers, cluster practitioners and academics to advance understanding of important challenges for competitiveness policies and for firm and cluster management, and to work towards practical solutions. The TCI Conference is a global and inspiring platform for fast exchange of patterns and ideas on competitiveness, clusters and innovation. You can expect four days of stimulating learning, networking and connecting with people from over 50 countries.

TCI 7CLAC Monterrey 2012 - Boosting strategic clusters through collaboration and innovation

Organized by TCI and our organizational member SEDEC-Secretariat of Economic Development Nuevo Leon, the 7CLAC is being thought to support Latin American regions to adopt new and better models which may further contribute to increase their competitiveness, and also as a step forward in developing a cluster cooperation network in Latin America. The call for proposals is open and the organizing committee invites Latin American and international practitioners to take active part in this promising 7CLAC in Monterrey. Deadline for submiting papers/presentations: 30 March.

Conference Program TCI Annual Global Conference published!

The 13th TCI Annual Global Conference takes place from 29 November – 3 December in Delhi, India.

The conference program touches issues such as:

- Creating links between India and rest of the world, exploring the potential and possibilities

- Examining the role of learning clusters - what is needed from the workforce, knowledge and 
  education to act as engines of growth?

- Exploring the social impact of clusters in bringing prosperity for the posterity

A special business-matching arena will be organized during the conference, offering a networking point for delegates to meet with each other and Indian companies and organizations.

The second day is dedicated to Cluster Tours through the New-Delhi region – one focusing on Automobile and IT, the other on Media and Apparel.

18-19/11/2010 Competitiveness Cluster Forum: International Cooperation and Funding Device

For the sixth consecutive year, the Fondation Sophia Antipolis organizes this major international event dedicated to industrial innovation and support to young innovative companies. 
  
The first day will feature presentations and debates around themes of the internationalisation of clusters and competitiveness “poles” and of the initial funding. A first session will be dedicated to the international cooperation (best practices of development strategies…) 
A second session will concentrate on public / private funding and will be organised with the support of Sophia Business Angels within the EBAN* Winter University. *(European Business Angels Network). 
  
The second day will focus on “European Initiatives for the Internationalisation of Clusters”. The comparisons will enable to clarify differences and similarities between policies of the European Commission, the States and the regions towards clusters and the mobilised means for mapping them.
