The INTERREG project CHAIN REACTIONS that aims on “Driving smart industrial growth through value chain innovation”, will adjust its activities in order to reflect the current COVID-19 pandemic and its potential impacts on industrial value chains in the Central Europe region.

The project deals with five key sectors based on their embedding in regional smart specialization strategies. These include advanced manufacturing, ICT and electronics, energy and environment, health and bioeconomy. The COVID-19 pandemic will have a strong effect on all mentioned sectors, so the members of the international partnership agreed to focus on the impacts of the virus on value chains during implementation of their pilot activities. Partners responsible for individual sectors will assess the potential ramnifications on their value chains and propose solutions through various business models.
