3D printing initiative to support the supply of healthcare facilities

In conjunction with biosaxony cluster, DRESDEN-concept is building up a network of 3D printing experts throughout Saxony to supply hospitals and other healthcare providers with currently unavailable materials. The network involves numerous research institutions of the DRESDEN-concept research alliance, the University of Leipzig, and Saxon companies. At present, the activities are focused primarily on the production of protective visors for medical personnel. The relevant information for participating in this project, as well as an overview of the partners involved, can be found here.

For printing protective visors, and to ensure that all protective visors comply with the quality requirements, research institutions should contact Lena Herlitzius, TU Dresden Advisor to DRESDEN-concept. Companies should contact André Hofmann, CEO of Biosaxony (contact details can be found here).

After contacting the relevant party, an invitation to a communication platform will be sent.
