Following the French government's new regulations enabling two new categories of masks intended for non-sanitary use, the Spanish Ministry of Industry has published an official regulation enabling the French standards in Spain. This decision does not only constitute a great example of European cooperation and solidarity but also allows Spanish companies to immediately start their work in producing the masks that the population needs by hundreds of millions. 

The Spanish guidance incorporates the recent experience from France, where masks may be reused and produced both industrially and handcrafted. The specifications also cover masks produced for the child population. Their use is one of many strict measures imposed to contain the Coronavirus while upholding efficient work organization.
