Statistical modelling of COVID-19 risk factors

Submitted by Audry Maulana on 27 April 2020

Researchers from Univesidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), Spain have launched a study to develop a prediction model that is able to mimic the spread of the disease along time and space. With the aim of understanding risk factors related to the spread and prevalence of COVID-19, such a model will incorporate supposed risk factors and provide different results depending on the conditions of spread.

Specifically, they will work on the SIR (Susceptible, Infectious, and Recovered) model in which parameters will be allowed to change along with time and space.
