During the 19 th European Carbohydrate Symposium (Eurocarb 19), held in July 2017 in Barcelona, members of the European Carbohydrate Organization decided that the 22 nd European Carbohydrate Symposium (Eurocarb 22) in 2023 will be organised in Gdańsk .
