Cluster Strategy
Mission/Objectives: 

The objectives of the AE-ROBO-NET are to boost common macro-regional Alpe-Adria Agricultural and Environmental[1] (A&E) robotics partnerships in research, development, innovation, production and commercialization and to foster a positive perception of A&E robotics. It aims at:

  • strengthening competitiveness and ensuring industrial leadership of manufacturers, providers and end users of A&E robotics technology-based systems and services;
  • the widest and best uptake of A&E robotics technologies and services for professional and private use (also marine robotics);
  • the excellence of the science base of the Alpe-Adria and national A&E robotics.

 

The Association shall carry out acts and take steps and commit to all activities that are deemed appropriate or useful in view of achieving its Objectives. To reach its Objectives, the Association shall engage in:

  • collaborating with the EU, macro-regional and national authorities to establish a Public-Private Partnership for A&E robotics;
  • developing strategic goals of A&E robotics and fostering their implementation;
  • improving industrial competitiveness through innovative robotics technologies;
  • positioning A&E robotic products and services as key enablers for solving societal challenges and fostering employment of young educated people;
  • strengthening networking activities of the A&E robotics community;
  • promoting macro-regional and national A&E robotics;
  • reaching out to existing and new users and markets;
  • contributing to policy development, education and technology transfer in the widest possible sense and addressing ethical, legal and societal issues.

Internationalization of members activity establishment of harmonized member and cluster strategies for the internationalization of Alpe-Adria technology solutions; strengthening contacts to enhance international technology development cooperation and business opportunities; attraction of investors to support the implementation of demonstration projects in macro region or abroad; participation at fairs and professional conferences abroad to present the R&D activities of members.

Product development from idea to prototype solving the complex management of all types of robotic sub-systems as onboard computers, sensors, electronic parts and mechatronic assemblies; optimization of hardware and software (mechanics, electronics, algorithms, communication); development, construction and optimization of the mechanical and decision making concepts and components (AI, 3D vision); support in industrialization and manufacturing.

The AE-ROBO-NET is a non-profit non-governmental organization, founded in 2016 as a joint endeavor of its founders, which was the establishment of an entity and system for inter-linking of macro-regional academy and enterprises with the long-term aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the cross-border A&E industry.

Having in mind its mission, AE-ROBO-NET intends to upgrade members' successfully implemented activities and projects in accordance with its development strategy and needs of macro-regional business and academic societies, and competing on the global knowledge market of A&E robotic systems, mechatronic systems, electronics, control algorithms and AI.

The successful execution of past members' projects has also positioned the new cluster in the role of one of the most competent partners in management, coordination and support activities in a broad research and near-to-market professional environment connected to robotics for Agriculture and Environment.
