Mission/Objectives: 

Aerospace Cluster Association” ACA is Non - Governmental Organization (NGO) started its activities in year 2010 in Izmir and grown with the participation of companies as members from all over Turkey in line with the vision to support Turkish Aerospace and Defense Industry’s global integration challenge in manufacturing, engineering, design and in R&D by developing valuable projects to its members as well as enhancing their cooperation with the aeronautical clusters abroad.

 

The goal of ACA is to move forward with its uninterrupted activities in creating a talent pool for qualified technical personnel by supporting technical vocational training activities along with the mission of Undersecretariat for Defense Industry (SSM) by supporting the development of SME’s in Izmir and in the region in the defense and aerospace industry, and also to foster the cooperation between universities and industry that will create high added value projects.

Supporting the efforts for the global integration of the Turkish Aerospace Industries in manufacturing, engineering, design and R&D areas and to ensure that it becomes a Center of Excellence competing in international markets by producing indigenous originally designed products and services based on advanced technology and high quality.

With the goal of ensuring Turkey to become one of the world’s leading countries in Aerospace, encouraging all industrial and academic activities and providing support to all the work in these fields.

Details of support services: 

Aerospace Cluster Association focuses on facilitating the technical and technological development of SME's towards value added manufacturing technologies. On this path, there is national funds provided by Ministry of Economy in the frame of enhancing export rates under 2023 strategies. SME's are able to receive this fund, that is being called "Enhancement of International Competitiveness Project (URGE)", only through clusters. As ACA we have completed one URGE between 2011-2014. Now we are preparing documents for second project with 19 SME's in order to organize trainings, matcmaking events and consultancy activities with %75 support of the Ministry of Economy. ACA is a member of SASAD (http://www.sasad.org.tr/en) and EACP and indirect member of many sector councils, associations, sectoral boards. Therefore it can provide continuous information flow towards its members. (List of direct memberships and signed partnerships http://www.hukd.org.tr/partners

As ACA, we have memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Polish and German clusters. there is a strong relationship between ACA and other EACP members since ACA is a very active member that undertakes WG leading roles. By this network, we have participated EU Leonardo da Vinci Project, ERASMUS + Project etc.
