In the framework of studies carried out for strengthening the members’ capacities in the nuclear industry, Ankara Chamber of Industry has set up Nuclear Industry Cluster supported by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of Republic of Turkey.

The vision the cluster is to be a pioneer in establishment of a local nuclear industry in Turkey working towards the principles of sustainable development, innovation and productivity and is effective in both local and foreign markets. 

The main objective of the cluster is to gather a group of companies which are known of their power in industry and strong in heavy industry production, software development and procurement around Turkey together chosen for their capability to become subcontractors for nuclear industry.

By the cluster the companies will learn cluster behavior, working as a team and creating combined products and services for nuclear industry.

By NUKSAK-Nuclear Industry Cluster the following studies are carried out: gap analysis, awareness programs, special trainings to improve production techniques specific to nuclear industry, certification programs for nuclear quality systems.

The main support services to be provided are

  2. Realizing certification and quality system implementations for nuclear industry
  3. Developing material technologies extensively used for nuclear industry
  4. Widening welding and nondestructive inspection implementations in nuclear industry

Participation at missions/events/study visits/fairs
Please explain: 

Trade mission was organized to Russian Federation between June 18th and 23rd , 2017. In the frame of the mission, the companies attended International Atomexpo Fair organized by Rosatom, Russian Nuclear Energy Public Company. Participant companies had the opportunity to conduct B2B meetings with Russian suppliers in nuclear and energy sectors. Besides Leningrad Nuclear Power Station and nuclear industry factories  in Podolsk were visited.

During International Nuclear Stations Summit held in Turkey in 2017, two Memorandum of Understandings were signed between Ankara Chamber of Industry and Czech Power Industry Alliance (CPIA) and Rosatom CICE&T ve TCP NICS Institute so as to develop and strengthen cooperation.
