Cluster Strategy
Mission/Objectives: 

The Arctic Smart Industry and Circular Economy cluster is an interregional cluster focusing on the sustainable utilisation of the arctic natural resources. The cluster is focusing on the development of the eco-system for the SMEs providing industrial services for utilisation of side streams of steel, forest, energy, mining, vehicle and wood product industries. The cluster is combination of 80 SMEs, large scale industries, innovation intermediaries, universities and research institutions. 

The aim of the cluster is to encourage SMEs specialised on industrial services to develop their operations and to improve the competitiveness of their products and services. The cluster is stimulating the emergence industry by enabling SMEs to turn circular economy challenges into business opportunities. The cluster collaboration is seeking the potentials for the innovations, supports the development of upgraded of new business models, provides a sustainable and diverse approach and will facilitate modern multi-sectoral and multi-regional cluster practices. Cross-sectoral and regional collaboration will provide the breeding ground for new business opportunities across the borders and supports the development of the industrial leadership on sustainable refining of the natural resources.
