Success Story / Achievements:

As the first wood based cluster in Norway we were approved as a Norwegian Innovation Cluster in 2016.  Main evaluation criteria were that Arena Skog was a complete value chain cluster with members from all industries and R&D sectors.

In 12 months of operation we have started up over 60 R&D projects.

Why should partners choose you for cooperation?:

The cluster has members from all sectors in the forest and wood value chain.  Located close to Trondheim where the Technical University is situated we benefit from vital R&D providers.  The city of Trondheim has as a policy to build with wood and have a separate organisation to fulfil this strategy.
