Mission/Objectives:

The Association West Pomeranian Chemical Cluster „Green Chemistry” is a successfully operating Cluster on the international research and development arena, focusing enterprises and research institutions from the West Pomerania region and other parts of Poland under the newly built value chains around R&D and demonstration projects related to the so-called ‘green chemistry’, thus leading to a more innovative activities of its members on the Polish and foreign markets.

The cluster’s activity is primarily about matching business activities with the latest science achievements, in order to increase the effectiveness of implementations in companies and not only. The high interest of Polish and foreign contractors in the results of the commercialization of the cluster’s work as well as work related to sustainable development contributes to the continuous development of the scientific and technological base. As one of the few clusters in Poland, “Green Chemistry” implements visible internationalist activities for members and affiliate companies in the form of numerous economic missions, study visits or exchanges of experience between individual companies from abroad.

Green Chemistry associates business with science, which results in implementations of concepts developed at universities in industry. It is worth noting here that in the years 2010-2015, thanks to the subsidies received for individual projects, the cluster acquired 6.5 million PLN . It gives great potential for business and research activities, as well as enables internationalization activities. The year 2015 Klaster closed its turnover close to 530 thousand PLN, which allowed him to largely implement the set goals and strategic actions, which were included in the “Cluster Strategy until 2022”. The Chemical Cluster, thanks to its initiatives and actions for combining science and business in joint project-research activities, obtained the title of the National Key Cluster in October 2015 (as one of the seven Clusters in Poland and the only one from West Pomeranian and Western Poland) awarded by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Poland.
