INTERREG

SCOT (Smart CO2 Transformation) is a collaborative European project (supported by the Seventh Framework programme) in the area of CO2 Utilisation. The main objective of the project is to define a Strategic European Research and Innovation Agenda for Europe in the field of CO2 Utilisation.

Carbon dioxide utilisation is a broad term that covers a variety of innovative industrial processes, which use CO2 from point source emitters (and in the future from direct air capture) as a feedstock to transform CO2 into value added products. Therefore CO2 is treated as a resource, rather than a waste or emission. SCOT’s strategic agenda and action plan will intend to move European policy towards this new paradigm.

We currently participate in one FP7 project

Relevant Project References:
AXELERA is currently participating to SCOT project (FP7). We've been submitting 4 European projects since 2015. One project is currently upon evaluation and has been accepted in phase 2
Promotion
Success Story / Achievements:

Two examples of success stories

- SCOT project : it enables us to work closely with a belgium cluster and an english university: this collaboration led to other european projects proposition. We are also exchanging information on a daily basis and organizing trips for our own members

- collaboration between members : the collaboration between large companies and small companies led to the creation of the Axelera Business Clubs (ABC). They are hold 3 times a year and favour commercial exchanges between members

Why should partners choose you for cooperation?:

AXELERA gathers chemical & environmental industries of France, especially companies based within the Auvergne Rhone-Alpes region.

Our frequent events (at least once a month) enable gatherings on different purposes:  either technical & scientific (technical days), either business meetings (Axelera BUsienss Club), either international meetings (trade fairs, shows). Our knowledge also enable our members being part of European projects.
