CMIA is commited to enhace the collaborative and cooperative approach among its industries memebers, research institutions, academia and governement agencies to generate the ample opportnities in the emerging technologies like automation, digatlization and industry 4.0.

CMIA was setup for supporting region MSMEs sustainable growth and promoting the new businesses,innovation, reaserch and development.

Details of support services: 

Among the main services CMIA offers:

  1. CMIA act as a facilitators of various government funding schemes for its members, it has very close relationship with SIDBI (Small industries development bank of India) which helped many members to take the benefits of credit link subsidy schemes from SIDBI.
  2. CMIA has created its own seed fund with the contribution from some prestige members from which many new innovative ideas have been supported, On other hand a pool of venture capitalist has also created for startups and new businesses.
  3. CMIA has created one state of art common facility center "MAC-http://www.marathwadaautocluster.com" which has man new facility like laser cutting, design studio, calibration lab and high tonnage presses. more than 200 MSME in region are using this common facility center.
  4. Collaboration between industries, Academia and other government agencies through various programs like innovation summit, Startup Boot Camp, Live industrial Projects etc.
  5. CMIA Energy cell, Cluster development cell, innovation Cell and industry academia cell were established for enhancing the knowledge transfers among stakeholders.
  6. CMIA have taken various delegation comrising of industries and executive commitee members to various international exhibhition and similarly many international businesses were invited for investing in this region.
  7. Advocacy Support to Govt for various Schemes and policies for MSMEs and startup Development.

CMIA has facilitated various international study and exhibitions tour comprising its members. Tours to EMO, Frankfurt and Hannover Messe in Germany were organized by CMIA.

Success Story / Achievements: 

Developed common facility Center (MAC) for Auto and Engineering industries: CMIA’s “Marathwada Auto Cluster” established at MIDC Waluj, Aurangabad, is the first ever prestigious project with Public-Private-Partnership in this region & is being successfully executed under the Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS) of Govt.of India with the total investment of Rs.85 Cr..In order to cater to the requirement of export market, Marathwada Auto Cluster (MAC) would need facility for exhibition, product display, business centre, etc. enhancing and strengthening market linkages (f) Understanding these gaps in the current industrial infrastructure set-up, CMIA initiated the process of establishing a Advanced Tooling Centre, utilising modern technology, along with a CRMB with the participating of local industry (website:http://www.marathwadaautocluster.com/)

Got Indian federal Govt Support for Setting up Brown Field Electronic Cluster and a common facility Center for Electronic MSMEs: CMIA has received Final Approval by Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), New Delhi for setting up of Common Facility Centre(CFC) in Brownfield Electronics Cluster on 2 Acres Land at Plot No.P-30, Shendra Five Star MIDC , Aurangabad. The total Project cost proposed is Rs.50 Crore and in the first phase of Rs.28.58 Crore is sanctioned by (MeitY).

The electronic cluster will provide common facilities for production and R&D support services, Benefit for local companies in terms of cost competitiveness, faster turnaround time, will pave the way for creating new job opportunities, Could drive innovation in electronics sector & Catalyze economic growth of the region.

Marathwada Accelerator For Growth and Incubation Centre (MAGIC) : To support the Small Businesses for achieving sustinable growth and encourage Start-ups, in technological areas such as Manufacturing, Transport, Energy, Health, Education, Agriculture, Water, Sanitation Etc.CMIA has established Incubation anc accelerator facility in the region by the name MAGIC.

Solar Cooking Event : CMIA has conducted Suryukumbh one of the largest Solar Cooking Festival on 12th January, 2016. More than 5,500 students from 30 local schools; including underprivileged students have actively participated in this event, which was registered in the Guiness Book of World Records . CMIA has provided solar oven to the students for this event at a subsidized cost and after the event allowed them to take home. Thus CMIA has created awareness about ‘Renewable Energy Sources’ and ‘Solar Cooking’ amongst citizens of Aurangabad.

Various EXhibhitions and conferences organized on emerging technologies: CMIA regulary organizes various exhibitions and events on emerging technologies like Automation expo, Welding technology Conference, Energy Conclave and CEO conference etc. MAC is taking leading role for organizing such events for Industries in region, last year more than 1000 SMEs participated in Automation Exo.

Industry Academia Collaboration through Live projects on Industries problems: CMIA is actively engaged with Industries and Academia to bring them togather for addressing the small scale industries and developed new innovative products and services for industries. this year more than 100 live projects have been started where students and faculty of 06 engineering colleges are engaged.

Lean Cluster Formation: 02 lean clusters have been setup from Metal Treatment and Plastic Industries, where an external lean consultant is helping industries to implement lean manufactruing practices.

Cluster Development Cell Establishment: CMIA has set up a cluster development cell to create the awarness about collaborative and cooperative approach among industries. Cluster cell is responsible for forming a small clusters in various fields and help industries to utilize the government funding schemes, meant for clusters in india.
