Mission/Objectives: 

CISE Maroc is a catalyst for eco-innovation. It offers a platform for exchange between the different actors, thus allowing inter and intra sectoral collaboration. CISE raises the awareness of partners to the need to create infrastructure and markets that are non-existent today and allows regular interaction between industrialists and academic researchers with the aim of leading to optimized research and collaborative projects. CISE Maroc objectives are : - To inform members about good environmental practices. - To act as an intermediary between industry and the public institutions for the purpose of creating synergies. - To support and offer eco-innovative solutions to members. - To offer training on environmental issues. - To support members in the deployment of collaborative projects on a technical, regulatory and financial levels. - To incubate green startups.

Details of support services: 

Collaborative Projects Through networking and enabling partnerships between member companies, CISE-Maroc strives to prompt and catalyze joint problem solving and environmentally minded collaborative project.

Events and Networking Several events are organized every year to facilitate dialogue between different members. These events can vary from B2Bs encounters, forums, or colloquiums depending on the specific need at hand. Themes are usually technological, legislative or financial innovation.

Startups Incubation An important role for CISE-Maroc is to help populate the sparse industrial sector of environmental services. CISE does that by identifying existing industry needs in terms of environmental services, and incubating start-ups aiming to fulfill those needs. CISE-Maroc also sees itself as a bridge between academia and the world of business as it strives to support the transformation of academic research into marketable products.

Research CISE-Maroc’s strives to enable collaboration, co-creation, learning and the exchange of higher value and tacit information. It also aims to create an adequate environment for promoting creativity, research, and joint problem solving. Through its educational members and partners, CISE-Maroc endeavors to bring together scholars/researchers from various disciplines to work alongside existing industries to identify a roadmap to cleaner production.

Trainings CISE Maroc Training Program for Environmental Services is designed to promote eco-innovation and the emergence of high value-added collaborative projects in sectors related to the circular economy. These trainings allow participants to become familiar with the eco-solutions related to different sectors of activity, the industrial standards relating to the environmental performance of companies and products, as well as the tools for strategic development and green business.

Success Story / Achievements: 

The green entrepreneurship morocco project funded by the US State Department is a success. During the training sessions of Moroccan startups the participants were able to evolve personally and professionally. Some startups have become profitable and some were able to recruit staff, and invest in their growth. some startups have even been able to pay membership fees to CISE Morocco and become a member of the cluster.

Some startups success stories: The Startup Circus (Refurbished computers from electronic waste) won the Orange Social Entrepreneur Award (25 000 euros). The Startup Evaptainers (Portable refrigerator running without electricity) has raised more than 80 000 dollars on Kickstarter. The Startup Seaskin (Transforms fish skins into leather). has turned her dream into reality, now the startup has a workshop and a team.Recognition of public institutions: During the two editions of Pollutec 2017 and 2018 Casablanca Madam Nezha el Ouafi the Secretary of State for Sustainable Development Morocco visited us in our booth, this year she was accompanied by her colleague Mr. Aziz Rebbah the Minister of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development of the Kingdom of Morocco.
