Mission/Objectives: 

Aim/role with respect to the transfer process:

The main role of Cluster CINNOMATECH with respect to the transfer process is to integrate enterprises operating in machinery sector with University  researchers. The needs for new research reported by industry are fulfilled by gathering professional team from the given field and realizing projects targeted into the business needs of the enterprise which come with the R&D idea. The other role is Realization of consulting expert services in partnership consisting: opinion of innovation, preliminary know-how pricing, business plans for the new business ideas, supervision of R&D work, prototypes building for the incubated entities within Connec start platform and Cubatex incubator. 

Main area with respect to the key topics :

The main area of activity is supporting realization of innovative projects with participation of industry and University. The projects are selected with a special attention to their utility in production practice which results in enforcing companies position on the market.  The CINNOMATECH integrates numerous entities thus it has very wide range of activities. The companies from machining industry use numerous technologies such as turning, milling, drilling and constantly improve their process searching for a new materials, innovative solutions for automation of the processes and tailored ideas within IT for their factories and for collaborative activities. From the University perspective the most important areas are additive manufacturing (AM) technologies and closely related biotechnology. The team working in field of production engineering is focused on topics related with Factories 4.0. (mass customization, flexible production). The accordance of contemporary solutions from production engineering field with Factory 4.0 terms.  It has also high competences in field of designing Decision Support Systems (DSS). Antoher key topics: IoT and industry, data analysis, application engineering.

Success Story / Achievements: 

The Cluster of Innovative Manufacturing Technologies (CINNOMATECH) is an association established in 2010 to increase level of innovation and competitiveness of the associated SMEs. It covers more than 60 companies, mostly located in Lower Sile-sia, representing areas of metals and polymers processing, construction machinery and tooling for e.g. automotive industry. Its strategy is based on networking of the compa-nies, local government, research units, universities and other business environment in-stitutions. Cluster activities covers among others planning and coordination of joint projects, access to a common research infrastructure, entering into and developing re-lations with other clusters, institutions, companies from outside the cluster. Coopera-tion with Lower Silesia Innovation and Science Park supports cluster in effective com-mercialization of research results and development and launch of new products and services.

The Cluster’s experience car-ried out of several public founded projects assures successful realisation dissemination and application of the project results. Foregoing research project realised within cluster between its members  were successful applied into the companies, e.g. in a form of new developed and installed advanced technological lines for coating and sur-face treatment.
