Cluster Strategy
Mission/Objectives:

Our mission is to support companies and scientific institutes in the German Capital Region Berlin-Brandenburg to make them more competitive. The cluster management's role is to create an active network within the sector in the region and across borders, be they sectoral or national. We do that by organizing sector-related working groups, workshops and similar events. We initiate technology transfer and support our stakeholders in the creation of project consortia and other aspects of project development at the regional, national and international level.

The cluster is managed by Regional Economic Development Agency Brandenburg.

Our cluster is not based on membership. Every stakeholder (private or public) in the German Capital Region that is active in the plastics and chemistry sector is part of the cluster by definition. This is possible due to extensive regional and European funding. In a bottom-up S3 process the plastics and chemistry sector was selected as one S3 focus sector. Our cluster management implements the regional S3 strategy.
