Cluster Strategy
Mission/Objectives: 

The Croatian Wood Cluster was founded in 2013 and since then it has become one of the main national professional association and operational cluster in forestry and wood processing industry in the Republic of Croatia. It has more than 70 members, mainly wood processing companies. Cluster is a member of a wide European sectoral network, the European confederation of wood working industries, CEI-Bois. Main objectives of the Croatian Wood Cluster are enhancing sustainability and competitiveness of the sector, encouraging innovations, investments, research, knowledge and technology transfer.

The Croatian Wood Cluster has strong connections at business, policy and academia level and is familiar with the needs and problems on the national and regional sectoral markets (SEE). Cluster has a strong national and international networks and experience in organizing different sectoral events, study visits, writing studies, EU projects, lobbying, promotional activities, etc. Through its work, Cluster is focused to improve awareness (toward key stakeholders, policy makers) and foster exchange on know-how, good practices for innovative solutions in order to increase market demand and greater use of wood products.
