Mission/Objectives:

France Water Team (FWT) is the national water competitiveness cluster promoting the emergence of collaborative R&D projects developing major innovations for water and aquatic environments. It has been awarded as “Competitiveness Cluster” (“Pôle de Compétitivité”) of the Water Sector by the French Ministry of Economy in Feb 2019.

France Water Team forms an innovation ecosystem of almost 500 members, including more than 400 companies of all sizes and various specialties and 60 research and training institutions in permanent interaction.

France Water Team aims at proposing solutions addressing the main challenges of the water sector: Digitalisation, Circular economy, Energy transition, Ecological transition, Climate change adaptation and Biodiversity. The markets targeted are divided into 5 main priorities:

  • Water & city and territory,
  • Water & Industry,
  • Water & Agri-agrofood,
  • Water & Natural environment,
  • Water & Well-being, leisure and health.

The 2019-2022 roadmap of FWT is built on two main axes: (i) supporting SME’s development and (ii) fostering innovation, through the launch of major structuring projects on water quality and resources management.

FWT is federating the three territorial water clusters: AQUA-VALLEY, DREAM Eau & Milieux and HYDREOS.
