Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) is an independent, non-government, apolitical and non-profit organization founded in 08.02.2006 (registered number:  00856/12/0453.)

GTA works as a Non-governmental organization (NGO) with many donors in Georgia. Georgian Tourism Associations member companies service  provides:  cultural tours, adventure tours, eco tours, jeep tours, Horseback tours, Bird watching, photo travel, Rafting tours, religious tours, rural tourism, Ski & Snowboard, Spa & Resorts, Trekking tours, Wildlife Observation, Wine & Gourmet tours, Professional Guiding, Accommodation.

Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) is an organization of private tourism companies , Hotels and Wine Companies  in Georgia. With  65 member companies and local partner associations Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) is the biggest association within the private tourism sector in Georgia. Focus areas are the improvement of tourism business environment in incoming, domestic and outgoing tourism sectors as well as capacity building. GTA supports the creation of local tourism Associations and offers active partnership. The association stands for the improvement of tourism service quality. GTA is committed to increase Private Public Partnership, to nature protection and carries out projects to strengthen a sustainable tourism development in Georgia. Our mission is to help businesses operating in Georgia create more benefit for themselves and the society based on joint cooperation. The association work to promote the: - cooperation between the tourism companies in Georgia. - cooperation between private and public sector- hotels link with Travel Agencies. - capacity building and quality management for tourism services - accessibility of tourism information and country marketing

GTA working strategy and priorities for tourism Development:

  • To promote and further the Georgian travel industry
  • To familiarize the public with advantages deriving from tourism
  • To facilitate contacts on a professional level between foreign and Georgian enterprises in the tourist domain.
  • Increase the involvement and cooperation of the private sector in Tourism information Centre.
  • Strengthen the links to the Georgian National Tourism Administrarion, With Ministry of Environment and International donors.
  • GTA  annual strategy workshop  (prepare Action Plan)
  • International Networking BSEC countries and South Caucasus (with partner Associations)
  • Projects and Events for Tourism Development in Georgia
  • Develop and improve internet tourism information system
  • Improve hotels service quality in Georgia, Hotels trainings
  • Preparation of regional tourist products and routs (in Caucasus region)

Details of support services: 

Legal advice is offered exclusively to GTA member companies with regard to travel law, and on the general terms and conditions of business. In case of difficulties between partners  GTA is assisting its members to solve problems. And advises its members on both economic and day-to-day questions. Member companies can obtain information on business organization, cost effective management and new technologies. In order to intensify foreign business contacts GTA is offering its members opportunities to get in closer touch with Georgian tourism industry. For GTA members all printing materials is free. Member companies are invited to the different Conference, seminars and other meetings of association. GTA supports its members with training and qualification by means of workshops and seminars.
