Mission/Objectives: 

The Green HoMe innovation hub promotes the affirmation of sustainable building with new technological solutions to design, build and use Mediterranean housing and for the exploitation and outward projection of natural, entrepreneurial and research resources available at a regional level

The Mission is to support networking of competencies to develop value chain innovation and specialized services for sustainable construction, with a projection on external markets and the goal of creating a sustainable Mediterranean home brand.

Green HoMe, Pole of Innovation for Sustainable Building, is supported by the Calabria Region thanks to POR Calabria 2014-2020 Axis I - Promotion of Research and Innovation - Specific objective 1.1 - Action 1.1.4, with the aim of developing concrete opportunities for research and innovation cooperation between national and European operators and networks.

The Pole of Innovation "Green HoMe" has an important wealth of skills, technological equipment, advanced products and services that are accessible through the university system and associated companies. In summer 2019, Green HoMe started international contacts with the Green Building cluster in Quebec with the aim of identifying opportunities for research and company exchanges and cooperation on the usage of hemp in construction, modular facades and other topics.

Promotion
Success Story / Achievements: 

Green  HoMe was foounded recently (Decembre 2018). Its activities are presented on the  web site www.greenhomescarl.it , facebook (https://www.facebook.com/GreenHomeScarl/) and with a free newsletter.

During the  first semester of activity, Green HoMe has  launched its training program (three courses organised on KNX, BIM Architecture, BIM Infrastructure), started participating to international events (the  International Conference  "Sustainable Built Environment 2019" in Scilla; the Innovat&Match and Cluster2Cluster events at Research2Business in Bologna), and promoted the participation to EU and regional innovation programs (proposals in H2020-MCSA, POR Calabria - Living Labs, ENI-CBC-MED).

Although recently founded (december 2018), Green HoMe is an active innovation operator at regional and national level in the area of sustainable building. It provides access to the major  entrepreneurial, technological and scientific resources in the Calabria region.
