H2020 INTERREG | - MED NEW JOB - CLIPPER - EXTRA-SMEs - BLUE TEMPLATE - EU MARINE ROBOTS - PROTEUS - SMART BOL | https://www.dltm.it/en/thematic-areas/ongoing-projects.html | Med New Job: Simple Single Action Project activated on Axis 4 Lot 2 in the training sector. The "Med New Job" project promotes the creation of sustainable employment in the nautical and marine economy sector. The DLTM has the objective of designing and developing a cross-border platform through which it will be possible to cross-demand with job offers within the Blue Economy. Clipper is an innovative interregional cooperation project that brings together seven proactive regions to address the negative impact that the global economic recession has had on the European maritime sector. This sector also suffers from growing competition from emerging countries. The general objective of the project is to develop better public policies to support the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the maritime industries in Europe. EXTRA-SMEs: over 90% of the companies in the regions are internal and coastal SMEs operating along and around the aquaculture chain, contributing to growth and job creation. Project partners joined forces to exploit policies and measures aimed at increasing the diversification and sustainability of regional SMEs. The DLTM in this project assists partners in identifying, collecting and exchanging good practices to increase the economic potential perceived by local entrepreneurs. Blue Template - Blue tech Partnership Education is implemented on the ERASMUS + Strategic Partnerships program in the field of secondary school student training. The strategic partnership aims to develop educational activities by promoting innovation, exchange of experiences and know-how between different types of education, training and entrepreneurship organizations. EuMarineRobots (funds H2020 INFRAIA-2016-2017) - shared infrastructure for access and implementation of a full range of surface and underwater marine robotic means 15 partners from 10 European countries. The project partner DLTM will provide access to the HPC Supercalculation Center and to the scientific and technological equipment of its research partner CNR-ISSIA Proteus - The goal is to develop "Innovative physical and digital solutions for ship production and maintenance in small and medium-sized European shipyards", proposing a series of innovative physical and digital tools and processes to optimize and update the structures of production and maintenance. Physical and digital tools will allow an increase in production and maintenance flexibility combined with a reduction in the environmental footprint of production and maintenance activities, with a consequent increase in productivity, competitiveness and growth. The goal of the project is to intervene in a critical sector for both the national and local economy, aiming to increase safety, speed and efficiency in the transmission of data relating to commercial exchanges by sea. We therefore want to digitize the bill of lading through the use of BlockChain technology to increase efficiency, process optimization and transaction security. Over the years, the DLTM has implemented a series of regional, national and international projects (mentioned above), which have allowed an important development of the company and its human capital. In particular, it should be highlighted the announcement that made it possible to create the three corelabs of the DLTM, active in the ITC, nautical / naval and marine technologies sectors, and the construction of the new company headquarters at the former Falcomatà military hospital.
In July 2012, the DLTM Cluster officially launched three Core Labs, to encourage and support collaboration between research and industry. In particular, the High Performance Computer - HPC LABORATORY is characterized by 504 Cores and 1TB of RAM for Parallel Computing and 240 cores and 1.5 TB of RAM in Cloud, with the aim to Facilitating access to state-of-the-art computing infrastructures for companies, in particular Smes, by offering high-tech services to encourage their growth and development.
The NAVE LABORATORY was created to support companies in the supply chain:
- in the advanced simulation of complex phenomena through CFD, FEM and FSI analysis, also thanks to the use of «in-house» and «open source» codes
- supporting the design of innovative vehicles, also for the purpose of scientific monitoring (such as Rovs and Auvs)
- in performing vibrational and vibroacustic analyses, in the naval and nautical fields
- in the approach to new rapid prototyping and 3D printing technologies
The MARE LABORATORY consists of two Stations of Environmental Monitoring to realize an advanced system of monitoring the Ligurian sea territory. One station onshore, localized in la Spezia gulf, and one station offshore, in the front of cinque terre coast. The partners involved in the project are National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development-ENEA; Institute of Marine Sciences - ISMAR of the National Research Council - CNR; National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV; Hydrographic Institute of the Navy; Cooperativa Mitilicoltori Spezzini.
Collaborating with DLTM means working together on projects that involve the numerous partners of the company (large companies, universities, research and technologies centers) and who are involved in the research and development activities of the three coreLabs.
