Please explain:

MAFEX is the association that represents the Basque and Spanish railway industry, combining over 72 companies that account for around 79% of all Spanish railway exports.  The cluster has promoted contact with and knowledge of the current situation and requirements in terms of railways of more than 88 countries over five continents through the 100-plus foreign promotion activities with the participation of over 1000 companies, providing international companies and institutions with better, more in depth knowledge of the Basque and Spanish railway industry that is, without a doubt, one of the most advanced and highly developed in our country and a benchmark in its sector worldwide.

MAFEX strongly supports more general aspects such as the image of Basque country and Spain abroad and the growth of its export base.

Mafex members include medium and small enterprises, as well as large companies spread over different sub-sectors of activities forming the value chain of the railway sector. These companies offer innovative, state of art products and solutions that are developed and implemented not only in our country but also in more than 95 countries where they have proven their efficiency and reliability, provisioning the Basque and Spanish railway sector as a world leader and benchmark.
