Cluster Strategy
Mission/Objectives: 

VISION : a regional synergic system that enhances a sustainable and inclusive value creation chain in the blue economy by leveraging scientific knowledge and industrial skills of the territory.

MISSION: to link industries and scientific institutions within a network of organized relationships finalized to develop Research, Innovation and Education projects with the aim to enhance the competitiveness of the industrial basis of the FVG region.

Details of support services: 
  1. Networking and R&D: to manage the relationships between the regional demand and supply of research in order to activate synergies through the development of specific projects.
  2. Innovation: to set up initiatives encouraging cross-fertilization processes, technology transfer and the growth of proactive business.
  3. Cooperation: to develop clusters at national and international level, through the territorial cooperation and the participation in international projects.
  4. Training: to realize activities to meet the market needs of qualification and upgrading for managerial and technical profiles.
  5. PR: to organize or participate at sectoral events, fairs, workshops to advertise the cluster activity, the cluster members results and attract new associates.
  6. Internationalisation: to support with contacts and new opportunities the SMEs aiming at going international and widely to support the territory to achieve a major role at macro-regional and international level.

September 2016 - August 2018: Lead partner in the EASME Project " BLUE Net - Maritime Cluster Network for Blue Growth".

November 2015 - July 2017: Project partner in the Central European Initiative Project "MaCCIM - Maritime Cluster Cooperation Italy Montenegro"

Since 2016 - Lead partner in the EASME Project ASSESS - Advanced Skills in Safety, Environment and Security at Sea

Since 2018: Project partner in the Project INTERREG Italy Croatia "BEAT - Blue Enhancement Action for Technology transfer"

Regional:

Since 2014: partner in 9 RDI projects, (Italian Development and Cohesion fund), focused on challenging maritime topics. 

National:

Since 2014: partner in the R&D project “TRIM - Technology and Industrial Research for Marine Transport”, which tackles some relevant technological challenges posed by the national maritime sector.

Since 2014: coordinator of a national training project “Training experts in research and development in the marine and naval industry”.

 

Promotion
Success Story / Achievements: 

From 2014 until 2017 we have been supporting 9 Research, Development and Innovation projects relying on Italian Development and Cohesion fund and combining a partnership of different public and private stakeholders. The projects have brought important results in terms in achievements and collaborations among partners involved and are creating a benefit for the regional territory itself.

In 2016 organized jointly with the Croatian Cluster MarC an Innovation Challenge that involved players from respective territories. 6 big industries and 12 SMEs involved, 32 Ideas/Solutions proposed

Since 2017 we are supporting 13 Regional Research, Development and Innovation projects relying on Italian Development and Cohesion fund, aligned with Reginal Smart Specialization Strategy and combining a partnership of different public and private stakeholders. The projects are bringing important results in terms in achievements and collaborations among partners involved and are creating a benefit for the regional territory itself.

In 2018 organized an initiative for diffusion of Maritime Culture for students of primary and secondary schoold in the framework of the European Maritime Day 2018. The event was selected among the five best initiatives and presented during the EMD 2018 in Burgas (Bulgaria).
