Success Story / Achievements:
+++Success Story 1 - PRODUTECH OPEN DAYS - Leveraging capacities, competencies, new projects and business opportunities Context / Description: Initiatives held at key reference users from selected industries (SONAE, COLEP, TEGOPI, POLISPORT, …), with the participation of suppliers of production technologies and RTD organizations. Presentation of the main challenges, industrial requirements and needs (company and industry) at short, medium and long term. Identification of business and R&D opportunities. Results: On the basis of these initiatives several business opportunities and collaborative projects were implemented in reference companies, providing grounds for technology transfer, for collaboration between suppliers and R&D organizations, and for the launch of new R&D and Innovation projects, gathering Production Technologies Companies, Enterprises from Manufacturing Industrial Sectors (users of production technologies) and R&D organizations.

+++Sucess Story 2 - PRODUTECH PSI and PRODUTECH PTI projects - Developing new products and technologies Context/Description: These are two umbrela projects within Research, Development and Demonstration priority of PRODUTECH, gathering over 40 partners with a combined budget of over 12,5 Million Euros. PRODUTECH PSI has as main objective to research, design and develop new products and advanced services that in the future will be marketed by companies of the Portuguese production technology cluster. The project focus on key research topics, forwarding advances beyond the state-of-the art, and aims the development of a new generation of production technology systems, solutions, products and services. The delivery of innovative, flexible, integrated and competitive solutions to the client sectors from the manufacturing industry will enable product differentiation, market distinctiveness and a solid ground for the sustainability of the Production Technology Industry. The project include 5 sub-projets in the following domains: (1) Intelligent production systems; (2)Flexible and efficient production systems; (3) Operations management and logistics for customized products; (4) Networked production systems; (5) Energetic and environmental efficiency of production systems. PRODUTECH PTI has as main objective to research, design and develop new technologies, advanced processes and innovative business models for the production technologies industry. The project focus on key research topics and aims to achieve new methodologies, advanced solutions and industrial breakthroughs, and to contribute to the deployment of the building blocks for the sustainable competitiveness of the Portuguese production technology industry. By addressing to the set up and definition of new business models and by deploying advanced tools for the design and development of new products, systems and services, this project aims to provide production technology companies with new methodological tools and technologies that will enhance their performance and market distinctiveness. The project include 3 sub-projets in the following domains: (1) Business models and support tools; (2) Advanced tools for the development of new products, systems and services; (3) Peripheral systems and applications for flexible and mobile robotics. Results: The launch of these projects translates the cluster's ability to generate a critical mass, gathering suppliers of Production Technologies, Companies from User Industrial Sectors and R&D organizations, to generate technological breakthroughs.
Why should partners choose you for cooperation?:

PRODUTECH cluster addresses the Production Technologies Industry, encompassing, in na comprehensive manner sectors and fields such as mechanical engineering, electronics, mechatronics, ITs, etc. Due to the positioning of  Production Technologies, in the value chain of Manufacturing Industry, it relates to and integrate the industrial user sectors of the industry.
