Mission/Objectives: 

The mission of the Rete di Imprese Luce in Veneto is the promotion of new business opportunities in the field of smart lighting in order to ensure a sustainable and inclusive growth.

In particular, the Network intends to pursue the following specific objectives:

- Use of innovative and/or recyclable  materials - Foster integration of SSL (Solid State Lighting) domotic technologies and IoT (Internet of Things) - Support to the companies in the creation of objects in BIM formats (Building Information Modeling) as a new 3D modeling format of building products in the market to perform simulations or punctual material takeoffs and products - Spreading the culture of light - Promotion of creative contest - Enhancing the visibility of the products / services of the member companies - Support to companies in accessing international markets

Project "E-Light" (2009-2012):  involving 5 SMEs and 2 Universities / Research Centres. The topic was: development of a intelligent lighting fixture able to capt information from the ambient (sensors) and to communicate with the other lighting points.

Project "SSL-ERATE" (2013-2016) : is a 3-year FP7 coordination project that aims to accelerate the uptake of high-quality Solid State Lighting (SSL) technology in Europe by supporting open innovation and bringing validated information to all relevant stakeholders. The project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under grant agreement No. 619249. http://www.ssl-erate.eu/ 

Project Cyber Secure Light (2018 - 2020) - co-funded by the European COSME Programme, in the framework of the COS-CLUSTPARTNS-2017-3-02 call for proposals. The overall objective of this call was to boost industrial competitiveness and investment in the EU via cross-regional cooperation and networking by supporting the establishment of European Strategic Cluster Partnerships for smart specialisation investments (ESCP-S3). The CYBER SECURE LIGHT as officially labelled ESCP-S3 partnership by the EASME Agency, aims at facilitating cluster cooperation in the IOT cyber security area related to regional smart specialisation strategies, in particular to trajectories related to ICT and smart building, and at increasing the involvement of industry in the context of the Smart Specialisation Platform for Industrial Modernisation.

LRV (Venetian Regional Law) 13/2014 - Luce in Veneto coordinates some projects involving groups of SMEs with the aim of promoting their internationalization with a support of a temporary manager

Success Story / Achievements: 

Venetian Smart Lighting - Luce in Veneto has promoted the creation of a Regional Innovation Network, named "Venetina Smart Lighting" (LRV 13/2014) aligned to the EU RIS Sustainable Living. Luce in Veneto is the only body recognized by the Venetian Region as official coordinator of the initiatives related to smart lighting projects

Euroluce Milano - Luce in Veneto promotes every 2 year an exhibition area inside the international fair Saloni del Mobile in Milan where the associates can show their products and reach commercial opportunities in a common lounge area. 

Index Dubai - Luce in Veneto promotes every year an exhibition area inside the international fair Index Dubai where the associates can show their products and reach commercial opportunities in a common lounge area. 

Rete di imprese Venezia Luce  - Luce in Veneto has promoted the creation of a network among 8 lighting SMEs named "Rete di Imprese Venezia Luce" witht the aim of common investment in the Arabic area to share commercial forces and a common show room in Riyadh.
