Mission/Objectives: 

Vision of the Silesian Multimedia Cluster is to become the main initiative in the Silesian Voivodeship in terms of creating tools and content for multichannel transmission of knowledge and information within social, educational and economic activities.

Mission of the Silesian Multimedia Cluster is to encompass economic  educational and scientific potential embedded in business entities and  R&D institutions in the Silesian Voivodeship in order to generate development and able explotiation of market opportunities within the ICT and multimedia business branches.

The main objective of the Cluster is to support elevation of competitiveness of its members. In case of entrepreneurs it means increase in profit and development of their business, in case of scientific entities - commercialization of scientific research. A cluster is a catalyst, which owing to the synergisitic effect allows money and energy put into cooperation, within the cluster, yield more than if put into individual work. Joint promotion is an example of a field of cooperation, which is capable of yielding measurable benefits to companies. It arises from the fact that connecting resources and comptence is especially crucial in case of expansion and promotion on international markets, which require more substantial expenditure, and which are very often inaccesible to single companies.

The objectives of cooperation and cluster activity, among other things, are:

  • developing members' cooperation strategy with a view to obtaining competitive advantage;
  • developing cooperation in order to create joint offer and proffer new quality of products or services;
  • generating innovative ideas;
  • creating competitiveness of the economy, based of knowledge in the region, and by the means of state-of-the-art technologies and innovations within the ICT and multimedia branches;
  • initiating and dvelopment of international cooperation in terms of multimedia technology development;
  • encompassing innovative activities of entrepreneurs within the multimedia and ICT branches;
  • organizing joint promotional, advisory and educational activities within the scope of innovation implementation;
  • acquiring funds needed to fulfill our dreams.

A member of the cluster is more visible and more favorably perceived both on the domestic and the international market, for he is looked at through the prism of the potential of all companies and institutions of higher learning functioning within the cluster.

A clusterpreneur has access to the researchers working in the University of Silesia and other reputable institutions of higher learning from the Silesian Province, with whom he can execute project co-financed from the external funds.

A clusterpreneur has access to international contacts in the business branch, as a part of the cooperation with 96 ICT business branch clusters in Europe, including the biggest ICT cluster in Europe: Cluster 55 from Sweden, which is our partner and patron.

A clusterpreneur receives current information regarding attractive events in the business branch.

A clusterpreneur can take part in joint promotional projects such as: domestic and foreign trade fairs, conferences, exhibitions and other business branch events.

A clusterpreneur can take part in training and integrative trips organized for the clusterpreneurs.
