Mission/Objectives: 

TTA-TC sees itself as a recognized initiator, organizer and implementer of various activities aimed at the improvement of the competitiveness of the Macedonian textile and garment industry.  TTA-TC will endeavor and attain to be equal partner with the government and the governmental institutions when representing the interests of its members.  TTA-TC will successfully represent and promote the industry both locally and internationally as a reliable supplier of high quality garments at attractive prices.

 

TTA-TC mission is derived from the current challenges and the long-term goals stated in its vision.

 

MISSION

 

  • To contribute to the development of the Macedonian textile and garment industry
  • To increase the competitiveness of TTA-TC members
  • To promote and increase market access for TTA-TC members

The cause and effect relations embedded in the strategic map defined five strategic goals for TTA-TC:

 

1.Sustain and increase membership

 

Establishing and maintaining a membership program can help toward strengthening the association by building a base of financial, political, and moral support over the long term. When companies join TTA-TC, their membership signifies that they have made commitment to the organization, and implies that their commitment will continue. This is a guarantee for financial contribution and support.

 

2.Advocacy and promotion

 

Advocacy and promotion activities are carried out to:

  • Increase awareness about the industry, its problems and potentials;
  • Support the development and advancement of the industry, and
  • Improve communications and build cooperative alliances with related organizations, government, and public and decision makers.

 

The key factors why a company would become a member of TTA-TC are the possibilities for advocacy and promotion.  The extent of advocacy and promotion activities, and the communication methods selected, will depend on number of factors, including:

  • Level of resources available,
  • The structure of TTA-TC,
  • Level of awareness about the industry.

 

3.Advance human capital

 

The successful realization of the activities of TTA-TC depends on the development of human capital.  The human capital entails multiple types of specialized knowledge built over time through interactions among the employees of TTA-TC, the members, support organizations, government institutions and other resources.  The advancement of human capital at TTA-TC is viewed through allocating sufficient time to have meaningful learning experiences and interactions with unique resources of TTA-TC while working on assignments and socializing with others in the association and within the broader stakeholder domain. 

 

4.Enhance resources

 

The main strength of TTA-TC is the collective specific knowledge on the Macedonian textile and garment industry, its potentials and the possibility for promotion and its growth.  In its work TTA-TC will try to build upon this specific resource, and further develop and strengthen its other key resources that are currently not well developed, such as the financial sustainability.

5.Keep alliances

 

By its structure and membership base, TTA-TC is an alliance of manufacturers, agents, marketing and promotion agencies, educational institutions etc., and this internal alliance of various stakeholders has so far proven to be effective.  TTA-TC has also created external alliances with other similar associations and support and donor organizations, which have contributed to transfer of knowledge, and the development of the association’s capacity.  Keeping and developing external alliances is very important for the future growth and sustainability of TTA-TC.

Promotion
Success Story / Achievements: 
Textile Trade Association – Textile cluster is a nonprofit organization  that represents Macedonian businesses that operate in the textile and apparel industry industry. The main objective of the association is to improve the communication between members in function of creating favorable conditions for development of the textile industry and improving their competitiveness, by following the world trends on global market and adjustment of domestic production to such trends. Activities and services of TTA-TC are offeret to more than 80 memebrs, and are mainly oriented towards: Collection and dissemination of information; Organization of educational and training seminars for its members; Facilitate contacts between members and foreign buyers; Involvement in European Union projects for the benefit of its members; Organizing fairs, fashion and commercial events; Publication and marketing aimed to popularization the activities of TTA and its members;  Development of regional cooperation among similar organizations and clothing manufacturers;  Presentation and promotion of textile products;  Organization of B2B events etc. 
TTA has been participating in few projects from the CBC cooperation programe.   It has also realized a project aimed for Networking and Capacity Building for Textile and Clothing Industry Associations in the Western Balkan Countries".  Moreover, TTA-TC was included in "Regional ORF Textile Associations Project" implemented during 2011/2013 which despite Macedonia includes five textile associations and clusters from South Eastern Europe. Textile cluster also was partner in the project "GIZ IEP - Investment and Export Promotion Project" from 2008 to 2012. TTA-TC is alo cooperating with the Faculty of technology and metallurgy - Institute of textile engineering Skopje and Ministry of economy of Macedonia. At the moment Textile Trade Association as a Lead partner with Textile and Clothes Branch Organization (TCBO) from Kustendil are implementing cross-border project  "Strengthening textile industry capacities in the cross border region through learning best practices and implementation of promotional activities", which is continuation of the established regional cooperation between the two associations. In  2015 the Association participated at Fashion SVP Fair in London UK and present Macedonian apparel production possibilities in front of the UK Buyers via presentation of collection of 50 garments. In 2016 and 2017 Textile cluster contiued with the pormotional activities with 3 times participation at Premier vision fair in Paris. In 2018 we successfully managed participation of 6 members companies at the leading fair in Germany - Munich Fabric Start where companies gaind a valuable conacts with foreign buyers. The manager of the textile cluster Natasha Sivevska was elected as a member of Advisory Board in the Cluster House organisation with the oportunity to exchange info and to give support in creating cluster polices.
Why should partners choose you for cooperation?: 

 

 

TTA-Textile cluster is the most relevant and the biggest representative of Macedonian textile sector. TTA-Textile cluster has high international activities and well developed data base of members and non-members companies giving the opportunity for promotion of the companies internationally as well as connecting and initiating partnerships among foreign and national companies. TTA Textile cluster is also open for net working with other national and international cluster organizations. TTA-Textile cluster participated at the cluster conference: Days of clusters in Nish, Tekirdag, Brashov and Ohrid and has signed a MoU with several clusters and associations.
