Description
The “Hack&Match” events represent an integral part of the assistance process delivered by the STARS project, as the goal is to accompany the more traditional SMEs of the Railway & Multimodality sector to better identify their “needs” but also to find potential solutions.
The "Hack&Match" events are composed by a Hackathon-part and a Matchmaking-part.
The STARS Partners will organise five Hack&Match events during the project. The topic of the first one is: “Energy efficiency for Railway Processes, Products and Services”.
Participation is free of charge and 100% online.
Who should participate:
- (key-target) more traditional SMEs, expressing needs
- (key-target) tech-savvy SMEs / start-ups etc., able to propose ideas/solutions (also available products/solutions)
- Large companies expressing a need and/or wishing to support the Value Chain with good insights/ideas
- Academia, Technology Centres, Digital Innovation Hubs, Researchers, and similar ones to create the grounds for further innovation.
How does it work?
- Hackathon part (registrations from 18 Oct; Hackathon on 28 Oct-8 Nov): Teams will search/discuss concepts to address the challenge (for internal processes, or for vehicles, or infrastructures, or CCS, or maintenance...). Get engaged and register to participate: https://lnkd.in/dSKHr8dS
- Up to 2 winners will be selected and awarded in a hybrid ceremony taking place in Prague and online end November
- In parallel and as continuation of the Hackathon: Matchmaking part between companies with needs and technological answers will take place here (registrations now open): https://lnkd.in/d4zj79H8
The STARS project is developed and coordinated by the DITECFER railway cluster from Italy, gathers 16 pan-european railway-related partners, and has the support of 30 key European organisations. It is co-funded by the COSME programme of the EU. The project aims at representing a booster in terms of production performances and innovation capabilities for SMEs thanks to the uptake of Advanced Technologies making such change possible.
