PERES project and its first findings about our Rail Supply Chain have been presented by the Coordinator, Veronica Elena Bocci, at the Rail Industry Meetings 2018 in Valenciennes (France), co-organized by the Partner i-Trans and the research institute Railenium. French and international companies plus several European Stakeholders of the project (JU Shift2Rail, UNIFE) between the public.

The PERES project was presented at the Rail Industry Meetings 2018 held in Valenciennes (France) on 4-5 April, a 2-days event where industry professionals of the railway market attend conferences and come together in targeted B2B meetings to discuss their expertise, projects and needs.

The PERES presentation introduced the public to the challenge the project is targeting: helping European-based SMEs operating in the field of Rail supplies to have a joint but very tailored internationalization strategy go international beyond EU and an implementation plan.
The state-of-the-art of the project allowed to present some first results of the analysis made on the SMEs members of the 5 partners:
- Very strong in the Rolling Stock segment in all modes of transportation (Train, Metro, Tram)
- Very strong in the Infrastructures Construction segment
- Mediumly strong in the Command Control Signalling and operations of Trains
- Weaker in the Command Control Signalling and operations of Metro and Tram transportation.
That is why the PERES partners will work also, in parallel, to reinforce the offer of solutions of their members to cover gaps in the supply chain.
