Description
On 1 September 2022, 30 Euroclusters were launched to implement the EU Industrial Strategy. Euroclusters are cross-sectoral, interdisciplinary, and trans-European strategic initiatives of industry clusters and other economic entities such as research organisations or companies. They contribute to building resilience and accelerating the transition to a green and digital economy, for example by providing financial support to SME projects. Many Euroclusters have published calls for SMEs to finance innovation projects, training programmes, or matchmaking activities, and have developed in-depth knowledge on the challenges in their ecosystems.
In this context, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, on behalf of the European Commission, DG GROW, organised the EU Clusters Talk “Keeping up with the Euroclusters: Achievements and lessons learned” on 28 June 2023, 8:30 – 9:45 CET, to hear about the work of the Euroclusters so far, any successful activities, and their lessons learned after the first calls for SMEs were published.
Speakers included:
- Valentino Izzo, Programme Coordination Manager, EISMEA;
- Laure de Tassigny, European Project Officer, Minalogic;
- Silvana Sanfeliu, Senior EU Project Specialist, Fondazione Piemonte Innova;
- Giovanni Scaramuzzo, CREATHRIV-EU Eurocluster;
- María Luisa Fernández, CircInWater Eurocluster;
- Ruben Eiras, MedBAN Eurocluster.
This event is part of bi-weekly online meetings brought to the cluster community by the European Cluster Collaboration Platform. They offer up-to-date insights into the latest industrial policies and clusters’ involvement, projects, and best practices, the latest ECCP news, and funding opportunities. The EU Clusters Talks are a space to exchange knowledge and to discuss cluster-relevant topics, which will change with every meeting.
