From Lab to Market The role of collaboration between technology centres and clusters (3)

Description

This EU Clusters Talk will explore the role of collaboration between technology centres and cluster organisations in driving innovation, technology transfer, and competitiveness, highlighting how this collaboration can accelerate the journey from lab to market. The session will present key findings from the European Monitor of Industrial Ecosystems project, highlighting the co-location of cluster organisations and technology centres which are active in the same industrial ecosystems across Europe’s regions. It also will demonstrate how cluster organisations and their members can benefit from the services and expertise provided by technology centres to bring new innovations to market and adopt advanced technologies, and, conversely, how clusters can support the work of technology centres by fostering partnerships, facilitating technology commercialisation, driving cooperation for joint projects, and more.

The talk will also be used to raise awareness about the European Commission’s Technology Centre Mapping tool and the upcoming Technology Centre Newsletter that will be launched soon, which will allow readers to explore and share new developments in the technology landscape, inspiring success stories, and policy updates, events, and funding opportunities linked to innovation and technology transfer.

Speakers include:

  • Els Van de Velde, Senior Expert Competitiveness & Innovation, Idea Consult
  • Vincent Van Roy, Expert Innovation, Competitiveness & Sustainability, Idea Consult
  • Inge Arents, Managing Director, FlandersFood
  • Michal Zemko, Executive Director of COMTES FHT and President of Klastr Mechatronika
