SOUNDPL (Sound Public Lighting): Increase Public Lighting Plant efficiency and smartness by spreading light control system capable of classifying Sound Information

The advanced technology uptake project titled “SOUNDPL (Sound Public Lighting)” involves collaboration between F.LLI CAROLLO SRL and the technology provider TRAILSLIGHT. The project aims to pilot TRAILS lamp telecontrol technology, particularly adaptive lighting regulation enabled by intelligent sound analysis and sound-enabled value-added services, within a public lighting system managed by F.LLI CAROLLO SRL. The objectives are to:

  • Evaluate the average energy savings achieved with TRAILS technology.

  • Assess the technology’s maturity level.

  • Verify the reliability of data collection through sound event classification.

To achieve these goals, a testbed consisting of 40 light poles will be equipped with TRAILS technology. The SOUNDPL pilot will serve as a showcase of a best practise in terms of digitalization and efficiency on a global scale.

F.LLI CAROLLO SRL will receive indirect EUR 10.500 from the European Union’s Single Market Programme through the SILEO Eurocluster project (GA 101074564).
