Description
The green transition marks one of two pillars of the EU’s industrial strategy to ensure future competitiveness of its industries on a global market. It summarises the journey towards a climate neutral, cleaner, and more circular EU economy. In order to reach the goals, European businesses have an important role to play. On one hand, they have to work on reducing their own negative environmental impact, e.g., emissions, material and energy use. On the other hand, they should use their practical knowledge and innovative capacity to accelerate the green transition by providing affordable, clean technology solutions and by developing new business models.
To support businesses in these endeavours, the “Green Transition Support” service provided the European Cluster Collaboration Platform offers practical examples, tools and useful points of contact to promote greener practices. In the EU Clusters Talk “Green Transition Support: Energy and resource efficiency in EU businesses” on 29 November 2023, 8:30 – 9:45 CET, the ECCP team presented the support service and we learnt first-hand about green practices presented by frontrunners from different sectors.
