The Silesian Aviation Cluster has been actively participating for years in initiatives aimed at supporting innovation in the aviation industry. One of the projects we are honored to be a part of is the international initiative IDEALIST. This is not just another project, but a real opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), including our members, to join the ranks of global technology innovators.

This ambitious initiative aims to address urgent challenges faced by SMEs in energy-intensive sectors such as aviation, defense, mobility, transport, and automotive. It promotes resilience, sustainable practices, and advanced technological adaptation in the face of global disruptions like the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions.

Key partners are also involved in the IDEALIST project, including CIMES, COMET – Cluster della Metalmeccanica del FVG, EIT Manufacturing, DITECFER, Association of Industrial Automation of Ukraine (APPAU), ALBATROS Gie, Geokompetenzzentrum Freiberg e.V., 4CF The Futures Literacy Company, POLYMERIS, Clúster de Automoción y Movilidad de Aragón, Chemie-Cluster Bayern GmbH, Eurecat – Centro Tecnológico, and CZECH AEROSPACE Cluster. Their involvement enriches the project with a diversity of experience and knowledge, significantly enhancing the quality of the initiatives carried out within IDEALIST.

The core mission of IDEALIST is to enable SMEs in key industrial ecosystems not only to anticipate and withstand unexpected global challenges but to emerge stronger and more competitive.

The project focuses on three key areas:

Strategic Foresight: Developing tools for SMEs to anticipate future challenges and turn uncertainty into a strategic advantage.
Technology Adoption: Facilitating the integration of advanced technologies in SMEs and supporting partnerships between innovation leaders and industry.
Supply Chain Resilience: Identifying vulnerabilities in supply chains and mitigating them to minimize the impact of external disruptions.
The project is centered on supporting SMEs in the development of modern technologies that can revolutionize the aviation industry. Through international collaboration and the exchange of knowledge and experience, project participants have the chance to compete with the largest players in the market. A key aspect of the project is supporting innovation among smaller entities that often lack the resources of global corporations but possess tremendous potential and ambition to introduce groundbreaking solutions.

Members of the Silesian Aviation Cluster benefit from IDEALIST by gaining access to the latest technologies and the opportunity to establish business connections at an international level.

The project enables B2B cooperation, fostering the development of innovative solutions and their introduction to the global market. This allows SMEs to effectively compete with large companies, gaining access to modern technologies and support in their implementation.
