SUSTAIN Eurocluster: 2nd Open Call winning proposals!
The SUSTAIN Eurocluster project has announced the winners of its 2nd Open Call, aimed at providing financial support to SMEs across Europe in the sustainable construction sector. This call focuses on fostering innovative projects that address the pressing demands and challenges of the energy transition in building and housing. A total of 15 projects from 9 EU countries have been selected to develop pioneering products and services aligned with this goal.
With a budget of €450,000, this 2nd Open Call supports projects in their demonstration or launch phases that are dedicated to improving energy efficiency and optimizing resource use in buildings. Through Smart Readiness Indicators (SRI) and state-of-the-art technologies, these projects aim to enhance the energy performance of buildings, contributing directly to the EU’s decarbonization targets for the building sector.
The selected initiatives are leveraging cutting-edge technologies—including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and Building Information Modeling (BIM)—to create tools that enable better energy optimization and monitoring. These projects are also integrating advanced systems such as Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), Energy Performance Certificates (EPC), and methodologies for Positive Energy Building (PEB) retrofitting.
By supporting these innovative solutions, the SUSTAIN Eurocluster Open Call is advancing key decarbonization objectives, such as improving energy efficiency in both operational and under-construction buildings, while streamlining SRI monitoring and assessment processes.
