The Basque Energy Cluster and Oekoenergie (OEC) have gone on its first direct mission to Mexico (24-28 October) framed within the Reina Plus European Project, supporting the thirteen companies from ESCP REINA PLUS that participated in the European Commission's Low Carbon Business Action in Mexico and visiting the Green Expo, which was held those days in Mexico City. Basque companies gathered once again at INTERGUNE+, the Internationalisation Forum of the Basque Country organised by SPRI. On the 16th of October, the Catalan Sport Cluster Indescat, Cluster Montagne and the European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI) along with 12 clusters over Europe joined Ms Bienkowska, Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry Entrepreneurship and SME’s on a three day visit to Iran - with the objective to promote the relationship between business and European SMEs and to establish international cooperation with Iranian clusters. The re-opened Iranian market is of relevance to clusters of a number of EU industry sector . Within the framework of the EU4SPORTCluster Alliance project, INDESCAT represented by Montse Centallas delivered a presentation on this project which is composed of five European Clusters in the Sport Sector. This European project is seeking to foster the internationalisation of European firms which still depend largely on their domestic markets despite the opportunities, offered by globalisation at large and also developing new value chains.

Latin America NRE mission is ready for boarding! The participants, VEGEPOLYS, INNOSKART, FEMAC and AGROCLUSTER, will arrive to Mexico Sunday the 6th November. The program will begin on Monday with the visit of Langebio, the National Laboratory of Genomics for Vegetal and Microbial Biodivesity. Silicon Europe Worldwide

On October 26, Silicon Europe and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) signed an MoU at SEMICON Europa in Grenoble. Both parties aim to further strengthen their cooperation in support of Taiwanese and European joint business and technological endeavours, particularly in the fields of micro- and nanoelectronics as well as Smart-X systems. Already two events in favour of this MoU were organised this year. Next to the European Innovation Week during COMPUTEX in Taipei (30.05.-03.06.), a Taiwan-Europe Forum and Business Matchmaking took place during SEMICON Europa in Grenoble (25.10. - 27.10.).

The first meeting of GIVE partnership was held on 25th October in Belgrade, Serbia. The meeting was focused on discussion about the upcoming call under H2020, Cluster facilitated projects for new industrial value chain. The future project will create strong collaboration between ICT and Automotive industry in the region. The automotive clusters from Bulgaria and Serbia were invited to take part in the meeting. During the meeting 3 new clusters signed the MoU and became part of the GIVE partnership - Automotive Cluster Bulgaria, Automotive Cluster Serbia and ICT Cluster of Central Serbia.
