250 participants representing 150 different clusters from 30 European countries met in Warsaw for the 4th Cluster Matchmaking Conference the 19th and 20th of September 2016. The annual cluster-to-cluster matchmaking conference provides a forum for developing ideas for international collaboration. The participants found the keynotes and learnings from other clusters inspirational. Silicon Europe Worldwide

On October 26, Silicon Europe and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) signed an MoU at SEMICON Europa in Grenoble. Both parties aim to further strengthen their cooperation in support of Taiwanese and European joint business and technological endeavours, particularly in the fields of micro- and nanoelectronics as well as Smart-X systems. Already two events in favour of this MoU were organised this year. Next to the European Innovation Week during COMPUTEX in Taipei (30.05.-03.06.), a Taiwan-Europe Forum and Business Matchmaking took place during SEMICON Europa in Grenoble (25.10. - 27.10.).

Silicon Europe Worldwide is currently preparing a fact finding mission to the North East region of the US. The mission is planned from November 13th till November 18th. The project team will meet several organisations and visit representative institutions in Albany and Rochester. Ultimate goal is to prepare for a company mission to be organised in the course of 2017.

GIVE

The first meeting of GIVE partnership was held on 25th October in Belgrade, Serbia. The meeting was focused on discussion about the upcoming call under H2020, Cluster facilitated projects for new industrial value chain. The future project will create strong collaboration between ICT and Automotive industry in the region. The automotive clusters from Bulgaria and Serbia were invited to take part in the meeting. During the meeting 3 new clusters signed the MoU and became part of the GIVE partnership - Automotive Cluster Bulgaria, Automotive Cluster Serbia and ICT Cluster of Central Serbia.
