OPEC officially ended on 31 st December 2018 and the project partners are currently finalising the remaining paperwork and recommendations from the project. These will be updated on the Offshore Platforms website shortly and circulated to interest group members. Options are currently being explored to fund a follow-up project to look more specifically at the detailing engineering required for two pilot multi-use platforms, one in South Africa and one in the UK. On January 16 th , AEI Tèxtils, the Catalan technical textiles’ cluster, as LIFE-FLAREX coordinator, participated in a workshop on innovation and strategy definition of chemical products’ management, organized by the Directorate General of Environment from the European Commission (DG-ENV) in Brussels. The LIFE-FLAREX consortium traveled to Italy on December for the participation at the Boostalps networking event in Milan on December 18 th and to held the project midterm meeting on December 19 th and 20 th in Biella.
