The second conference & matchmaking event the BALTIC CLUSTER FORUM 2019 will be officially included in EU Cluster Weeks schedule and will take place in Lithuania on March 19 th . Last year turned to be important for Lithuanian clusters and their milestones. The European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA) awarded 8 more clusters with the Bronze Label of the European Cluster Excellence Initiative which brings the total number of benchmarked clusters in Lithuania to record high . OPEC officially ended on 31 st December 2018 and the project partners are currently finalising the remaining paperwork and recommendations from the project. These will be updated on the Offshore Platforms website shortly and circulated to interest group members. Options are currently being explored to fund a follow-up project to look more specifically at the detailing engineering required for two pilot multi-use platforms, one in South Africa and one in the UK. On January 16 th , AEI Tèxtils, the Catalan technical textiles’ cluster, as LIFE-FLAREX coordinator, participated in a workshop on innovation and strategy definition of chemical products’ management, organized by the Directorate General of Environment from the European Commission (DG-ENV) in Brussels.
