European Business and Technology Centre in India (EBTC)

Launched in 2008, the European Business and Technology Centre (EBTC) is an organization co-funded by the European Union (EU) and co-ordinated by EUROCHAMBRES. EBTC is a one-stop-shop focusing on helping EU businesses and researchers interested in exploring opportunities in the Indian fast growing market, primarily with a cleantech agenda, with focus on  the biotechnology, energy, environment and transport sectors.

With more than 8,000 contacts in its database for communication and promotion of activities, EBTC aim is to become a reference point for promoting European clean technologies in India and to be recognised for the quality of its services, its knowledge of the Indian market and its capacity to reach out to the entire European business and research community.

Through its offices across India, EBTC supports EU clean-technology companies and researchers on their market entry to India, offering complete end-to-end solutions with a toolbox of tailored services that support cross-border collaboration at all levels - from comprehensive market information to help overcome market access issues, to project and partner identification, strategic advisory services, business and technology incubation, and more.

Among the services provided by EBTC - sector expert consultation, technology incubation, project opportunities, market exploration trip, pilot projects, business incubation, a.so.

The EBTC’s European Technology Experience Centre (ETEC) is the only space dedicated to showcasing European technologies in India, virtually as well as physically.

EBTC is the lead consortium partner for the Enterprise Europe Network India – one of the largest networks for small businesses, helping EU SME's make the most of business opportunities in India, and also assisting Indian SME's to develop opportunities in the EU.

The Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Helpdesk facilitates technology commercialisation and the management of IPR issues related to India.
