Executive Summary:

Activities of the CLUSGRID project are dedicated to consortium clusters’ management and to their members. The project will strengthen clusters management excellence. Consortium members are at  different levels of expertise (ESCA gold label – Pole SCS, silver label – Cluster CET and Industrial Cluster Srednogorie, bronze label – SOLARTYS and SECPhO, no ESCA label – Wschodni Klaster ICT coordinated by Wschodnia Agencja Rozwoju Sp. Z o.o.). After the cluster excellence activities such as benchmarking, knowledge exchange, experience and lessons learnt, study visits and workshops, consortium members will be able to improve the management of their organizations and provide top-quality services and support to SMEs. The awareness of benefits of cluster excellence will  be spread out to be integrated into regional and national programmes  to provide sustainable basis for further action to support cluster initiatives and R&D opportunities. Training workshop in Berlin within the COSME

Several CLUSGRID clusters participated in a 4 day training workshop in Berlin from April 25 to April 28, 2017. There were 4 experienced and professional trainers responsible for the program, who seeked to strengthen cluster management and sustainable long-term and cross-border collaboration.

The training workshop was carried out in Berlin by INNO-DROP, and different cluster managers belonging to the Clusgrid project had the pleasure of assisting. They were instructed within specific fields including: cluster benchmarking, cluster organization management, industrial analysis and segmentation, cluster economics, and change management.

The overall objectives for the Clusgrid project are that the cluster members leverage the course content and tutorials to improve their own clusters at a national and international level. They strive to create new and lasting frameworks for the long term stability and relevance of their cluster.

The consortia also took advantage of the opportunity to talk about further cooperation between each other.  The training was successful for all participants and it is now followed by a 5 week online training which will be organized by the Clusgrid consortium.

First Study visit

Solartys, Spanish Solar Energy Cluster, in collaboration with EDA, Development Agency of Poland, organized the first Study Visit of the project CLUSGRID last 6th and 7th November in Barcelona, funded by the European Cluster Excellence program. The visit, composed by twelve clusters belonging to different European countries: Germany, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, France and several regions of Spain (Catalonia, Aragon and the Canary Islands), aimed to offer attendees - all of them cluster managers - a global vision about the ecosystem of clusters in Catalonia and Spain, and foster the exchange of good practices.

Second Study Visit

SCS Cluster organized the second study visit for the CLUSGRID project in Nice, France during the 7th and 8th of June. The goal of the visit was to learn about the French cluster and the exchange of best practices with the rest of the clusters composing CLUSGRID project. Representatives from regional authorities, other clusters from the same region and the visit to the Smart City Innovation Center also provided with an overview of the innovation ecosystem where SCS Cluster operates.

International Workshop of Clusgrid Project in Poland

Last 24th and 25th of September, Clusgrid project consortium met in Eastern Europe Initiatives Congress held in Lublin, Poland.  A congress devoted to building of lasting relations within the regional cooperation of Central and Eastern European countries, including issues related to science and education, heritage and reconciliation as well as local democracy.

On this context, Clusgrid porject held the International Workshop to present Clusrgid main facts and figures and had the chance to exchange best practices and cluster vision with homologues form differente Eastern Countries.

Local Workshops of Clusgrid Project

Each and every Cluster partner of Clusgrid project held a local workshop where members, other clusters and stakeholders of their region were able to learn about the results and impact of Clusgrid project.
