Baltic TRAM Mid-Term Conference will be taking place on 25 - 26 October 2017 in Stockholm at the helm of the CBSS Swedish Presidency and hosted by the  Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)Registration for the conference is open until 24 October 2017.

The event will gather a notable set of speakers to ensure that Baltic TRAM activities are put in a wider context. Some of the confirmed speakers are: 

- Ales Fiala, representing the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation (European Commission), 

- Jean Moulin, Head of the Working Group on ESFRI,

- Akira Jamakawa, Managing Executive Director Japan Synchrotron Radiation Research Institute (JASRI),

- Anna Stenstam, CEO Colloidal Resource.

The conference will be taking place against the backdrop of the recent endorsement of Baltic TRAM by Baltic Sea Region´s parliamentarians, as showcased in the 26th Resolution of the Baltic Sea Parliamentary Conference. It is the next high-level endorsement of Baltic TRAM following the acknowledgement expressed in the CBSS Chair´s Conclusions adopted after the first CBSS Science Ministerial.

One of the most recent Baltic TRAM´s publications, the BSR Policy Briefing 4/2017 "National innovation and smart specialisation governance in the Baltic Sea region - Laying grounds for an enhanced macro-regional science-business cooperation", published by Centrum Balticum, as well as accessible on the European Commission´s Smart Specialisation Platform, will be also discussed during the conference.

Last but not least, Baltic TRAM Mid-Term Conference will serve to discuss the first results of the open call for businesses.
