Description

The European Biomass Conferences and Exhibition (EUBCE) has grown from a small research community biomass conference more than 30 years ago to a well-established international conference, tackling challenges ranging from biomass growth and biomass conversion to bioenergy, biofuels and bioproducts, sustainability and policies. Today it provides a forum for industrial implementation of technologies enabling the transition away from fossil fuel economies. For all of these topics on the integration of processes, technologies, and value chains, it has always been necessary to ensure the most efficient use of the limited biomass resource to enable economic viability

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic and measures to contain the virus, the European Biomass Conference and Exhibition will be held entirely digitally in 2020 from 6 to 9 July. This decision was based on the positive vote of the conference contributors. To reflect the current global crisis, the theme of the Conference was been changed to 'Bioeconomy’s role in the post-pandemic economic recovery'. With this overarching theme, EUBCE will address the enormous challenges faced by the community to mobilise joint efforts in the global recovery process. All authors will be invited, where appropriate, to adapt their presentations on how their work contributes towards this global effort. Registration is now open and those who can contribute with ideas, practical suggestions and experiences for the development of the conference can visit the website of EUBCE
