Description

The South African wool and cotton industries have repositioned themselves in recent years in line with global product quality, reliability of supply, traceability, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

These requirements, and the industry’s response, create opportunities for investment in the local industry and for exporting. This webinar, organised by EU-funded EU-South Africa Partners for Growth, on 10 December 2020 (10.00-11.30 CET) will bring together wool and cotton business associations, growers, manufacturers, potential investors, equipment suppliers and buyers in South Africa and the European Union (EU) to explore these opportunities in more detail.

Specifically, the webinar aims to facilitate a dialogue between industry stakeholders on the possibilities for further capitalisation along the South African wool and cotton value chains; the conditions that need to be in place for this to occur; and the potential role of EU technology, development finance and retailers.
