Baltic Science Network session “Creating the future of the Baltic Sea Region (BSR):  Better competitiveness through joint research cooperation?” will be organised on 13 June at 17:00 – 18:30 in Berlin during the 8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. Among the distinguished set of speakers will be such notable representatives of the Baltic Sea Region innovation ecosystem as:

  • Prof. Dr. Robert Feidenhans´l, Director of the European XFEL, the world´s largest X-ray Free-Electron laser;
  • Prof. Dr. Helmut Dosch, Chairman of the DESY Board of Directors.

Baltic Science Network (BSN) is an Interreg Baltic Sea Region funded project. Its aim is to provide science and research ministries of the Baltic Sea region states with an overall coordination framework to develop and implement science policy in a macro-regional dimension and to ensure a better representation of macro-regional interests on the EU level.

A high level political panel will discuss the seminar topic based on the preliminary results of a Baltic Science Network (BSN) study on research cooperation in the BSR and selected good practice examples from the region.
